There will be individual guidance and group discussion across all stages, supporting each participant in developing their own outcomes.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eAbout the Artist:\u003c\/strong\u003e \u003cbr\u003eDerek Wilson is a Belfast-based ceramic artist whose work sits between studio pottery and conceptual art. Working primarily with the vessel form, he explores the relationship between function and abstraction, combining a minimal aesthetic with strong material knowledge and craftsmanship.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eDerek studied at Belfast School of Art (MA Fine \u0026amp; Applied Arts) and later trained as a production potter with DCCI, working in potteries throughout Ireland. Derek has exhibited internationally and his work is held in both public and private collections. \u003cmeta charset=\"utf-8\"\u003eHe has taught in Ulster University Ceramics Department for many years.
