She graduated from the Kasama College of Ceramic Art in Ibaraki in 2022, following several formative years living and studying in Indonesia and Portugal. She has since undertaken residencies at Kanazawa Utatsuyama Kogei Kobo and the Shigaraki Ceramic Cultural Park, and is currently a Guest Artist-in-Residence at Tainan National Art University in Taiwan. Her intricate, hand-built vessels and figures have been shown at Collect Art Fair (Somerset House, London), Ceramic Brussels, RGR Gallery (Mexico City), and Musee Tomo (Tokyo), among others, with upcoming solo and duo shows planned in Tokyo, Mexico, and Shanghai.

Teruri's practice centres on hand-built, hollow ceramic forms she describes as "containers for the soul" — sculptures whose openings and inner cavities create a threshold between presence and absence. Working through silence and form rather than explanation, she builds pieces that hold stillness while remaining open to what may dwell within.

Tickets are free but we kindly ask you to register to attend.
