Culture Night at Throwing Shapes: Visit the Studio

Join us at Throwing Shapes for an evening celebrating clay, creativity, and community. Our studio will come alive with a vibrant window display of members’ work, showcasing the talent and diversity of our makers. The entire process of making ceramic objects will be on show, including every stage of making; unfired work, trials, errors, sketches and designs. Throughout the night, members and teachers will be demonstrating pottery techniques at the wheel and through hand-building, offering a behind-the-scenes look at the making process. 

Visitors of all ages - including kids and families - are invited to get hands-on with clay, guided by our friendly teachers who will introduce you to the basics of hand-building. Whether you’re curious about pottery, eager to try something new, or just want to soak up the atmosphere, this is the perfect chance to experience the joy of clay in a fun, welcoming and creative space.
