We booked a workshop in Throwing Shapes for our staff Christmas party. Everyone on our team had such a fantastic time! From the moment we came through the door, we felt so welcomed in this gorgeous space. Split into two groups, one focusing on hand building, the other on throwing, the instruction was clear, patient, and really thorough. The Throwing Shapes team are so organised, which allowed us to get stuck into the clay without worrying about anything. We enjoyed drinks and snacks alongside the making, which really added to the relaxed atmosphere. They have thought of everything! So seamless, so enjoyable. Would highly recommend!

For our team’s Christmas social we took part in a workshop at Throwing Shapes, and it was genuinely one of the most enjoyable team activities we’ve done as a team. We got hands-on making our own pots, guided with such care, patience, and good humour even when our attempts collapsed. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and a lovely spread of drinks and nibbles that kept the energy high. It was the ideal way to unwind, try something new, and connect with each other in new environment.We left with clay-covered hands, big smiles, and looking forward to seeing how our creations would come out!I’d highly recommend Throwing Shapes for any team looking for something memorable, fun, and brilliantly hosted.

The team at the Corporate Governance Institute were looking for a fun way to develop the team and build bonds. We spent an afternoon having great fun while learning a new skill. I would highly recommend Throwing Shapes if you are considering team-building day out in a light, bright and busy space where your team, no matter what age, background or creed, can come together and get to know about pottery ... and each other.

Our team had an amazing time at Throwing Shapes for a pottery-making session! The whole experience was fantastic—great space, nice wine and nibbles, and a fun, hands-on activity that got everyone engaged. Our instructor, Vinh, was incredible—so patient, skilled, and encouraging, making even the most clay-challenged among us feel like pros. They took care of trimming, glazing, and firing after we left, and final products turned out beautifully. Everything was delivered to our office in perfect condition. Such a great team bonding experience—we’d absolutely do it again!

Xestra brought 30 guests to a really enjoyable evening of pottery making with Siofra and her team at Throwing Shapes. We would highly recommend it for a relaxed and creative team event.

My team attended a throwing class at Throwing Shapes as part of our Christmas party. On arrival we were met with wine, beer and nibbles before being given a tour of this wonderful new ceramics facility in the heart of Dublin city. Then it was time to put our aprons on and get stuck in! We had a mix of experiences in our group, from skilled to novice, but the tutor accommodated all levels in an open, informative and fun class. The afternoon was full of laughs, wobbly pots and vino – probably not the best combination for our finished pieces but good for our teams experience. At the end of the class everyone selected their favourite piece to be fired and glazed by the tutor and once finished they were delivered to our office! Since doing the class a few team members are keen to start classes and we will be keeping an eye out for events in the future.
