    (e.g. Emma A39)

A Few Important Notes

  • While staff will be present in the channels, this space is primarily for members to chat with one another.
  • Staff will not be available at all times in the chat - and will only use it during their working hours - so please respect their time.
  • We will not be answering questions here — please email us for anything that needs staff input.
  • This is a shared community space: kindness, generosity, and respect are expected at all times.
  • We reserve the right to remove posts or restrict access if guidelines are not followed.

What the Members Chat Is For

The Members Chat is a shared, community-led space for:

  1. Planning inclusive meet-ups, studio hangs, and days out.
  2. Sharing tips, tricks, inspiration, and learning resources.
  3. Sharing, selling, or giving away tools, glazes, and clay.
  4. Quick announcements from staff - we will be updating the chat when the kilns are loaded/unloaded.

(Please note: email remains our main and official form of communication.)
  5. Planning making together in the studio.

Sharing your own work, asking peer-to-peer questions, and exchanging best-practice tips.

What the Members Chat Is Not For

To keep this space safe, respectful, and useful, the Members Chat is not for:

  1. Contacting staff

→ All staff communication should be via email.
  2. Questions about kiln loading or unloading. Staff will update with images of what has been loaded & unloaded but will not answer questions from members about specific pieces.
  3. Complaining, blaming, or using harassing, aggressive, or inflammatory language.
  4. Posting images of other people’s work, damage to work, or kiln damage.
  5. Talking about another member or member of staff.
  6. Posting personal adverts or promotions unrelated to the studio

    (Housing adverts are okay.)

Thanks for helping us keep this a supportive, creative, and welcoming space 💛

Happy chatting & making!
