More Than Just a Pottery Class
Tucked into The Tenters in Dublin 8, Throwing Shapes is a community ceramics studio built around a simple belief: creativity makes life better, and everyone is creative.
We opened in May 2024 to make ceramics more accessible, creating a space where curious beginners, dedicated hobbyists, artists and experienced potters could all find their place.
Our studio has dedicated teaching spaces, pottery wheels, kilns, specialist equipment and a team of teachers who are here to help you learn. But what makes the place special is the people who fill it.
Come for a class and you might discover a new skill, meet people who share your interests or find yourself coming back week after week. For some people, one session is enough to try something different. For others, it's the beginning of a much bigger creative journey.
After classes we offer open studio memberships. There are so many ways to get into the studio!
