A Libertine Feast - An Exhibition by Camilla Hanney

A Libertine Feast
Exhibition by Camilla Hanney
In collaboration with Throwing Shapes & Staycity

A lavish ceramic banquet arrives in The Liberties.

A Libertine Feast is a large-scale installation by Dublin 8 artist Camilla Hanney - a love letter to the neighbourhood that raised her. Returning through the 2026 Clay City Residency, Hanney transforms local history into an opulent, surreal feast in clay.

Overflowing Guinness and whiskey bottles, Jacob’s biscuit piles, a ceramic suckling pig, gold-lustre platters and glowing candelabras - each piece draws on folklore, domestic ritual and shared memory. Working in porcelain with gold and pearl finishes, Hanney explores labour, loss, time and excess, creating a world that feels both intimate and theatrical.

History, reimagined.
