Talking Clay: An Evening with Cormac Boydell

Join us for the next Talking Clay event on Wednesday, 29th January at 6pm, featuring the brilliant Cormac Boydell.

Cormac Boydell, who transitioned from geologist to full-time ceramic artist in 1983, is celebrated for his tactile approach to clay. Using no tools, Boydell is keen to emphasis the importance of the process of making and that the nature of clay be apparent in the form and the texture of the resultant work.

Boydell’s mastery of glaze is very unique, transforming his pieces with vibrant, brilliant colors that have become his signature. His works are treasured in prestigious collections such as the National Museum of Ireland, the Ulster Museum, and beyond.

Expect an inspiring evening as we learn about Boydell’s artistic journey, his love of clay and the stories behind his one-of-a-kind creations.
