Tatiana Smith-St Kitts is an interior designer by day and ceramicist by night. Inspired from her background in design, her ceramic practice revolves around creating hand built and wheel thrown works focused on movement, curiosity and shapely forms. After a pottery work placement in Crete, her love and foundation with clay was formed and she has been diving deep into the world of ceramics ever since.

Throughout her hand building classes at Throwing Shapes, she invites students to grasp traditional techniques of working with your hands, creating a unique story through textures and shapes within each piece created.

The facilities are excellent, and all of their teachers are so warm, welcoming, and knowledgeable. Taking my first course there in 2024 was a highlight of my year, and I'm excited to get back in and make more pots in 2025.

It’s a gorgeous space, and so well run. I wish I could get in and use it a lot more than I do because it’s my happy place! As soon as I walk in I feel content. I’ve taken some classes also and the teachers are fantastic.
