Marta is a Polish-born potter who has called Dublin home for over 18 years, working from her own independent studio where she creates porcelain tableware that balances modern design with traditional making skills. Her journey into ceramics began at a secondary art school in Poland, before she went on to complete the Ceramics Skills and Design Course in Thomastown, Co. Kilkenny, graduating in 2016. With more than 15 years of experience - including six years as Head Potter at Arran Street East - Marta brings a deep, practised understanding of the craft to everything she makes.

Alongside her studio practice, Marta loves sharing what she knows, helping others discover the sense of calm and focus that comes from working with clay. She can't imagine doing anything else — though if she weren't a potter, she'd happily be found in a garden instead.
